Prayer changes things and prayer changes us.
Prayer is a vital part of the Christian life. In addition to the regular LiFE Group meetings there are several prayer meetings held at Ivy Church each month. We meet for general prayer and praise on the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays each month at 7.00pm. The Prayer Ministry Team is available to spend time with anyone requiring prayer at the end of Sunday morning services. If you would like prayer for any reason please feel free to contact us and we’d be pleased to support you in this way. Anyone can send in ‘prayer requests’ and prayers will be said in church. In our prayers we can follow the pattern of Jesus: * We bless God and pray for our world, our communities and our lives to be shaped by God’s will; * We pray for daily needs to be met; * For forgiveness for wrongdoings, strength to resist temptation and protection from danger. |
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread, and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.
