We'd like to extend a very warm welcome to you, especially if you're new to Ivy Church. We have many regular meetings throughout the week, though our main weekly gathering is on Sundays at 10.30am.
FAQs - What, When, Where and How:
What Do We Believe? That the Bible is our guide for living and is our source for our faith. That God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Father sent his Son to die in our place. Jesus, the Son, died and rose again and is available to be our friend, Lord and Saviour. The Holy Spirit is available to support, empower us for life and service. That Jesus Christ lived an amazing life and died a terrible willing death for us. He was resurrected and returned to his Father in heaven. And that he is coming again one day to take his people home. That we have all sinned in thought word and deed and need God’s forgiveness, but that we can receive salvation (forgiveness/new birth) by putting our trust in the Lord Jesus. That if we have put our faith in Jesus (become believers) we should be baptised in water. That the Holy Spirit helps us to change and become better people and that the Holy Spirit gives special gifts to enable us to serve others. That healing, encouragement, peace, help and strength are available through prayer and laying on hands. That it is our privilege to take bread and wine (Holy Communion) in honour of Jesus’ death, resurrection and promised return. That one day Jesus will judge the world, removing evil and that those who have put their trust in Him will enjoy eternal life.
